Hutcheon & Pearce (H&P) are a John Deere Dealer with 11 dealerships located throughout NSW and is run by a third generation of the family.Although the John Deere brand is strong and has good market share it was identified in discussions that the H&P brand needed to be stronger to avoid references such as Hutchies, John Deere Albury etc. The JDNA concept desires to create some ownership around knowing who you are – and that is a John Deere owner.
The challenge is to give a unique and individual personality relevant to a younger/emerging target audience who take in messages in a very different way, while staying true to the overall brand and current clientele.
do you have the JDNA became both a campaign and a question. This concept was derived from the point that HP clients know who they are – John Deere users, many generational – it’s in the blood.
It allows users to become part of the brand and influence its personality, whilst allowing H&P to maintain current brand loyalty, but also reach out to a new market. The concept of knowing who you are reinforces the strong product traits & respect the general values instilled in the H&P and John Deere brand by the loyalists and creates a tagline that could be utilised universally across all creative collateral, including all above the line and below the line media.
We want existing clients to embrace this concept, sharing their stories and experiences which we then turn into the HP story. Through telling a story in an interactive way the user is required to move the story forward, keeping them engaged throughout the experience.
